Since VoIP was a relatively a new product on the market many people watched to see how it would progress with households and in business. The popular demand for this system became so overwhelming that it became an instant success in the market. The agents that are interested in this field have a wide territory of new clients. Many people and business’s need phone access and one of the major problems is the cost. The normal phone companies maintained a monopoly for years until the government required them to let loose of their territory. When the normal phone companies turned loose their territory many different companies came into existence. The cell phone era took a giant piece of the phone systems because of the portability of the phone. Then we were faced with how to send data, receive phone messages, and do business in general. VoIP answered the question of how to send out data and provide low cost for phone system.
The VoIP system provides a low cost system that is portable, and capable of sending data, faxes, and maintaining voice mail messages. The system became available about ten years ago but today it is now very popular with many major business accounts, small business accounts, and home accounts. The system is very simple to use unlike the regular phone system no service technician is needed. There is software down load program and an Ethernet that you can connect your phone up to in order to get service. The system hosts many phone lines and a designated fax line. The whole program and system units are at a very low cost some only begin at $7.95 per month for residential and $34.99 (included a dedicated internet connection for the service) per line for unlimited local and long distance calling for business service.
The agent channel side of telecommunications is rapidly changing as well. Not only are agents selling IP phone systems and services, but the latest trend shows a large shift to a broker business module with the boom of VoIP. Many brokers are seeing the wholesale VoIP call termination and origination services expanding worldwide and offering an endless amount of potential buyers and sellers. The trend is starting to shift agents into bringing buyers and sellers of wholesale VoIP together and brokering the routes and origination services. The cost of the sale for the agents is far lower because everything is done over the internet and payment should always be either prepaid or with a VoIP escrow service. It is important for brokers to factor in the cost associated with escrow when deciding upon their price point. However, t it is important to take advantage of these services to guarantee payment and delivery of services when conducting business internationally over the internet.
