If you want to become a real Linux guru and know how to work the command line to do whatever you want including commands, editing and scripting this is the one of the best materials available. It provides a great introduction to Linux, geared towards newcomers to this operating system. Once the basic philosophy of Linux has been communicated, and the user has become familiar with the use of a wide variety of the standard commands, as well as the basic functionality of a few shell command interpreters, you are equipped with all the basics for jumping into the pool and paddling around. It was an excellent decision to buy this Learn Linux Networking Ubuntu edition.

This set is perfect for what the title says: Learning Linux. My personal experience with Linux in general and Ubuntu in particular has been wonderful. I wish I could leave Microsoft and migrate to Linux earlier. A lot of people are switching from windows to Ubuntu and this is the perfect set to get you started. It’s just my opinion but I think Linux has finally become a very viable alternative to the “other” OS. This set is not good, not great, but above and beyond nearly anything I have tried before. I enjoy Learn Linux Networking, and found it a good source of knowledge.
